Due to our strategic growth plans, we are investing in our Business Development Team with additional headcount, which means we have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join us in the Bristol office.

Joining the wider marketing department, you will work closely alongside a talented team who aim to ensure the business development activities of the firm are effective and commercially valuable.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter, with previous experience of working in a similar role. You will report to one of our Business Development Managers who is responsible for a sector and department.

An exciting opportunity with responsibility from the start, you will expected to manage projects and initiatives and be involved in:

  • Supporting the lawyers and BD Managers in producing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing plans, driving the delivery of the marketing activities; and managing the marketing budget
  • Being responsible for the management and delivery of departmental pitches and working with the Pursuits team on larger, multi-departmental or strategic pitches
  • Supporting the firm's CRM programme, with responsibility for proactively developing the management of specific clients and targets
  • Proactively organising events/webinars and digital marketing initiatives as part of wider marketing campaigns
  • Assisting the wider Marketing team with a range of other key marketing activities, such as legal directories submissions, industry award submissions, press and PR matters, marketing literature production, email marketing and website content.

Strong communication skills are necessary; as is a demonstrable history of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders of all levels. You will be project managing pitches and liaising with different departments – so the ability to instil confidence and influence senior members of staff is essential. This is an exciting and fast-paced role, where no two days are the same; so being able to effectively deal with changing priorities and manage your own time in a fast-paced environment will help you succeed in this position.
