Our Business Development team work directly with the firm's Partners and lawyers to ensure that the strategy is implemented consistently and our client-centric approach is at the heart of all business development activity.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join us for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role can be based out of our Edinburgh or Bristol office, following our hybrid approach to working.
Reporting directly to one of our Senior Business Development Managers, you will be part of the BD team and our wider collaborative marketing department. You will quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of market and client challenges with the overall goal to provide practical advice and guidance to achieve the most effective and commercially valuable business development activities.
As the business development expert, the lawyers will rely on you to
- identify and develop opportunities for growth, ensuring both current and prospective clients are aware of the exceptional work that we do
- Develop and drive forward Key Account Management plans for strategic clients as part of the firm's overall KAM programme
- Support with producing sales and marketing collateral such as capability statements, proposal documents and web copy
- Develop and manage the delivery of sales and marketing plans for the relevant legal teams
- Keep on top of emerging market trends and being able to define the firm's services and USP to the markets in which you are operating will be key to your success.
Our lawyers are required to produce business and marketing plans and you will support and guide them through the production and implementation of these - working with your Marketing Communications colleagues on specific campaigns. You will monitor the effectiveness of these plans and campaigns and be constantly reviewing the effectiveness of the business development activity that is taking place.
Your business development expertise will be valued and respected by the lawyers that you are working with. As a marketing professional you will be able to quickly instil confidence and trust and be able to influence senior colleagues using diplomacy and tact.
