We are currently recruiting for a Finance System Analyst to join our Financial Systems Team (FST) on a permanent basis in Bristol. This role offers a fantastic chance to be part of a dynamic team.
As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the finance team's operations through system support, process improvements, and technology upgrades. You will work closely with the IT department, providing second-line support for any finance system issues. Additionally, you will be actively involved in major updates and releases of the Aderant finance system and various finance technology and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Act as the go-to expert for various financial systems, responsible maintaining system processes, data integrity checks, and effectively troubleshooting and resolving finance system issues.
- Validate data accuracy, conduct system testing, and dive into data analysis to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Developing and maintaining internal technical documentation and process notes.
- Partner with project managers and vendors to support delivery of new functionality and upgrading existing modules of the finance system.
- Support the FST in the development of key finance initiatives, working to streamline existing finance processes.
- Work closely with the Finance Leadership Team to report on adhoc financial data where there is a systems dependency.
What we need from you:
- Good knowledge of finance processes, accounting rules, and regulations.
- Experience in the support, administration, and maintenance of finance systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of discussing complex issues with diverse audiences.
- Client-focused with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Proficient in SQL and possessing programming expertise.
- Competent Excel skills (including advanced IF statements, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Experience working with Aderant Expert.
