We invite you to join our Marketing team at Burges Salmon as a Graphic Designer! In this exciting role, you'll be designing and creating print, digital, and video materials for both internal and external promotional activities. This pivotal position plays a crucial part in elevating the Burges Salmon brand, ensuring we stand out with a distinctive presence in the competitive marketplace.

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in our Marketing department collaborating closely with the Marketing teams and wider Firm.  We are also proud to announce that we have been named RollOnFriday's 'Best Law Firm to Work At' 2024 for the third consecutive year. Join us and be a part of our award-winning teams!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design graphics and wider material for use in print and predominantly digital formats, including campaign reports, brochures, newsletters, invitations, briefings, flyers, advertisements, presentations and display/exhibition graphics.
  • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues, for example Digital Marketing, Communications and Business Development colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance on the most effective design solutions in response to a design brief.
  • Work with the Brand and Design Manager to identify opportunities to evolve our visual identity and brand guidelines, to keep them fresh and up to date. Also ensure brand and template style guidelines are correctly applied to all marketing materials.
  • Liaise with external suppliers regarding the purchase and management of printed material.
  • Support the briefing and on-location management of photographer and videographer shoots, also working on image and video post-production when needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance of design folders in the Marketing team's shared drive, to ensure all design files, documents and materials are easily locatable.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant demonstrable experience in a graphic design role, ideally in a business-to-business, as well as perhaps consumer environment.
  • Degree level or equivalent graphic design qualification.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (principally InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail – able to work accurately and deliver consistent design and artwork quality.
  • Experience of working with external suppliers such as printers, photographers, videographers and design agencies.
  • Strong written and face-to-face communication skills, with the confidence to engage and work with people successfully at all levels across the firm.
  • Strong understanding of brand, and familiarity with the technicalities of brand guidelines.
  • Comfortable with using AI tools (such as Copilot, and those native to supplier suites and platforms) to assist with task efficiency where applicable and appropriate.
