We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical Services team at Burges Salmon. As we continue to invest in new technology, we are looking for someone to get stuck into a variety of larger infrastructure renewal and major platform upgrade projects and support with implementation/administration of both new and existing technologies.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager and working closely alongside four Engineers in the team, you will ensure the smooth running of the core IT infrastructure both on premise and within cloud services (Azure), monitor live service and anticipate issues before they impact service. We are looking for a proactive team-player to join our collaborative team with a shared ambition towards successfully delivering our cohesive set of IT Services
What you'll be doing:
- Azure administration and Active Directory administration and design.
- Design and implementation of network services and applications.
- Assessment and installation of new hardware and software.
- Administration of network switches and routers
- Network and server capacity planning.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of applications to end users.
- Identify and carry out preventative maintenance.
- Manage and maintain IT security systems.
- Undertake testing of new applications and updates to existing applications to ensure
continued stability of systems.
What we're looking for:
- Azure technologies - VM's, Load Balancers, VNets, Storage Accounts.
- Microsoft Stack.
- Network and network services design and implementation.
- Experienced with network hardware and security concepts.
- Remote access technologies.
- Key Technologies expertise in the following:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Windows 2016/2019
- Aruba Wi-Fi and Switches
- Barracuda Firewall/Silver Peak SD WAN
- Network security
- VMware
- Office 365
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Server clustering
- MDM
- Familiarity with project management procedures and processes.
