We are currently looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working Finance team on a permanent basis.  Whilst your role will be varied, as a Payroll Assistant your primary responsibility is to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience of processing a payroll,  has strong attention to detail and who is organised and able to manage deadlines.

The role is based in our Bristol office, aligned to our hybrid working model which combines home working and working from the office, giving you flexibility to meet the needs of our clients , develop your career alongside  your colleagues, whilst balancing work and home life. 

What you'd be doing:

  • Become proficient in running the payroll from start to finish. From setting up new starters to sending BACS payments and RTI submissions.
  • Provide support to the Payroll Manager and Payroll Specialist in processing the main LLP payroll and Irish BSIP payroll.
  • Maintain employee iTrent records and processing data for new starters (letters, tax forms, bank details etc.), amendments to salary / hours, and changes to pensions and benefits
  • Manage the payroll mailbox, dealing with general day to day queries, filing emails and distributing workloads in a timely manner.
  • Support the payroll reconciliation and payroll audit.
  • Provide general administrative support to two pension schemes.

What we're looking for:

  • Knowledge and experience of processing a payroll;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel including the ability to extract, sort and lookup data;
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills;
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise;
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
