Are you a driven individual with a passion for business development and expertise in working with Dispute Resolution teams? We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team at Burges Salmon. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering our ambitious growth plans for our Dispute Resolution team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage our business development strategy and activities for the Dispute Resolution team – managing the sales funnel at every stage and converting client opportunities
- Drive profitable growth across all specialisms, with a key focus on raising our profile in the London Market.
- Collaborate closely with our talented lawyers and Partners to ensure our business development efforts are effective and commercially valuable.
- Instil confidence and trust with both internal and external clients, multipliers and key stakeholders, using your expertise to influence and guide them with diplomacy and tact.

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in legal business development, particularly within contentious legal teams.
- Strong experience of managing marketing and business development activity at every stage of the sales funnel with a particular emphasis on ‘top of the funnel' success
- Experience and understanding of the London market for litigation/dispute resolution work. Strong ability to influence and build great working relationships with senior colleagues.
- A growth mindset with excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to achieving business goals.
- Client-facing experience is desirable
