We're looking for a Senior Financial Accounts Manager to lead and develop our Financial Accounts Team at Burges Salmon in our Bristol office. As our Senior Financial Accounts Manager you will act as business lead on a range of financial reporting, forecasting and financial management of the firm's project portfolio.  You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure the appropriate financial controls are in place for compliance with regulations, best practice and necessary reporting requirements are met.

We're looking for a collaborative team leader to build relationships across the firm, within our Financial Accounts Team and within our Finance department's senior leadership team where your input will shape departmental projects to improve process and outcomes.  As our Senior Financial Accounts Manager, your work is key to supporting our business planning process; we are looking for strong analytical skills  and a proactive drive to identify solutions and opportunities. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparation of all budgets and forecasts, holding regular meetings with expenditure budget holders to identify opportunities for more cost effective service delivery.
  • Prepare and appraise individual project budgets and report periodically on the projects portfolio budget and expenditure.
  • Preparation of the consolidated annual financial statements
  • Management of the annual audits with our external auditors.
  • Management of the production of the monthly management accounts
  • Production of the monthly cashflow reports and forecasts, developing forecasting model and reports.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience leading a team, managing your own and team performance and deliverables.
  • Experience communicating and presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of producing consolidated financial statements and managing the annual audit process.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant Financial Standards, management reporting, VAT regulations and other regulations.
